1. General Conduct
- All students must maintain discipline and decorum within the hostel premises.
- Respect for fellow students, staff, and property is mandatory.
- Any form of violence, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated.
- The use of abusive language or inappropriate behaviour is strictly prohibited.
2. Admission and Registration
- Students must register at the hostel office and provide all necessary documentation.
- Admission to the hostel is granted on a first-come, first-served basis and may be subject to availability.
- Hostel fees must be paid in full by the specified deadline.
3. Attendance and Leave
- Students must sign while going out of the hostel during holidays or taking leaves.
- Students must obtain the principal’s permission for any extended leaves or vacations.
- Overnight leave requires prior approval from the warden or Principal.
- Unauthorized absence from the hostel may result in disciplinary action.
4. Curfew
- A strict curfew is enforced, with all residents required to be inside the hostel by 6.30pm.
- Late entry is not allowed unless prior permission has been granted by the warden.
- Sunday or any holiday outing is permitted from 9am to 6pm.
5. Visitors
- Visiting time for Visitors is 9am to 6pm.
- Visitors are allowed during specified visiting hours only.
- All visitors must be registered at the hostel office and must leave the premises by 6pm.
- Overnight stays by visitors are strictly prohibited.
6.Room Allocation and Maintenance
- Rooms are allocated by the hostel authority and must be occupied by the assigned students only.
- Students are responsible for keeping their rooms clean and tidy.
- Damage to hostel property will be charged to the responsible students.
- Any maintenance issues should be reported to the hostel authority immediately.
7.Meals and Dining
- Meals will be served in the dining hall during designated hours.
- Students must adhere to meal timings and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
- Outside food is allowed only in designated areas.
8.Prohibited Items
- The possession or use of alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and other intoxicants is strictly prohibited.
- Weapons or hazardous materials are not allowed within the hostel premises.
- Electrical appliances like heaters and cooking devices are not permitted in rooms
9. Noise and Disturbance
- Students must keep noise levels to a minimum, especially during study hours and after curfew.
- Use of loudspeakers or sound systems is not allowed in the rooms.
10. Security and Safety
- Students must carry their hostel ID at all times and produce it upon request.
- The hostel gates will be locked after curfew; unauthorized entry or exit is prohibited.
- Fire safety equipment and exits must be respected, and tampering with them is a serious offense.
11.Disciplinary Actions
- Violation of hostel rules may result in warnings, fines, or expulsion from the hostel.
- Repeated offenses will lead to stricter disciplinary measures.
12.Check-Out and Vacating the Hostel
- Students must inform the hostel authority in advance before vacating the hostel.
- All dues must be cleared, and the room must be returned in good condition.
- Personal belongings must be removed from the hostel premises upon vacating.
13. Emergency Procedures
- In case of emergencies, students must follow the instructions of the hostel staff.
14. Damage Clause
- Rough handling of dining hall furniture, room furniture or any furniture/property or fittings of the hostel will result in imposition of fines and rusticating from the hostel. In case of any damage triple the cost of equipment/ property will be collected from the student.
15. Additional Guidelines
- Any rules given by the hostel authority from time to time must be followed.
- Hostel management reserves the right to amend or introduce new rules as necessary.
