Karnataka Government Admission Requirements

Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 / PUC / equivalent examination preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English with minimum 40% aggregate marks.
  • Students from Arts / Commerce streams are also eligible with the same aggregate.
  • Must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Must be medically fit.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)

  • Pass in 10+2 / PUC or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English.
  • Must have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  • Age should be 17 years completed on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Must be medically fit.

Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P.B.B.Sc Nursing)

  • Must have passed Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM).
  • Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM) with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • No age limit specified by the council; admission based on merit and regulations.
  • Must be medically fit.


Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing)

  • Must have successfully completed B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 55% aggregate marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST).
  • Must have minimum 1 year of work experience after B.Sc. Nursing / prior or after P.B.B.Sc Nursing.
  • Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RNRM).
  • Must be medically fit.

Admission Procedure

Application

A non-refundable Application Registration Fee of Rs. 1000 is required to initiate the admission process. This fee covers the processing of your application.

S.S.L.C. Certificate.


Pre-University marks card.


Transfer Certificate.


Conduct Certificate.


Migration Certificate.


Physical Fitness Certificate.


Aadhar Card.


Birth certificate.


10 passport and Stamp size photos.

Scheduled caste & Tribe certificate if applicable. Group A, B, C, D & E Certificate, if applicable.

Eligibility Certificate

Non-Karnataka candidates need to fill up the Eligibility application form to apply for an Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka, 4th ‘T’ Block, Jayanagar, Bangalore.
