Treatment Modalities

Our Treatment Modalities

Advanced physiotherapy equipment and techniques we use to accelerate your recovery.

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)

A non-invasive pain relief method using low-voltage electrical currents delivered through electrode pads on the skin. TENS blocks pain signals to the brain and stimulates endorphin release, commonly used for chronic pain, back pain, and arthritis.

IFT (Interferential Therapy)

IFT (Interferential Therapy)

Uses medium-frequency electrical currents that cross and interfere within the tissues to produce a low-frequency stimulation effect. IFT penetrates deeper than TENS, effectively reducing pain, swelling, and muscle spasms.

Therapeutic Ultrasound (US)

Therapeutic Ultrasound (US)

Uses high-frequency sound waves to deliver deep heating to soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It promotes tissue healing, increases blood flow, reduces inflammation, and helps break down scar tissue.

Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) uses focused light energy to stimulate cellular repair and reduce inflammation. It accelerates wound healing, reduces pain, and is effective for tendinopathies, joint pain, and soft tissue injuries.

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)

Delivers acoustic pressure waves to injured tissues, stimulating the body's natural healing process. Highly effective for chronic conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy, and calcific tendinitis.

Shortwave Diathermy (SWD)

Shortwave Diathermy (SWD)

Uses electromagnetic energy to generate deep heat within tissues, increasing blood flow, reducing muscle spasms, and accelerating tissue healing. Used for chronic pain, joint stiffness, and musculoskeletal conditions.

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)

Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)

A holistic approach that brings physiotherapy and rehabilitation services into the community and home settings. It empowers individuals with disabilities to access health, education, and social services for improved quality of life.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular Rehabilitation

A specialised exercise-based programme designed to reduce dizziness, improve balance, and minimise fall risk. Uses habituation, gaze stabilisation, and balance retraining exercises for conditions like BPPV, vestibular neuritis, and Meniere's disease.

IRR (Infrared Radiation Therapy)

IRR (Infrared Radiation Therapy)

Uses infrared light to deliver superficial heat to tissues, increasing blood circulation, relieving muscle stiffness, and reducing pain. Commonly used as a pre-treatment modality before exercises and manual therapy.

Wax Therapy (Paraffin Bath)

Wax Therapy (Paraffin Bath)

Warm paraffin wax is applied to hands, feet, or joints to deliver moist heat therapy. It soothes joint stiffness, reduces pain in arthritis, improves circulation, and enhances tissue flexibility before exercise.

Cryotherapy (Cold Therapy)

Cryotherapy (Cold Therapy)

Application of cold packs, ice massage, or cold sprays to reduce inflammation, swelling, pain, and muscle spasms. Essential in acute injury management and post-surgical rehabilitation.

Traction Therapy

Traction Therapy

Mechanical or manual stretching of the spine (cervical or lumbar) to relieve pressure on compressed nerves and discs. Effective for herniated discs, sciatica, nerve root compression, and spinal stenosis.

Hydrocollator Therapy (Moist Heat)

Hydrocollator Therapy (Moist Heat)

Uses canvas packs filled with silica gel heated in water to deliver deep, moist heat to muscles and joints. Reduces muscle spasm, increases tissue extensibility, and prepares tissues for stretching and mobilisation.
