The Psychiatric Nursing Department is dedicated to preparing students to provide holistic mental health care across the lifespan — from adolescence to geriatric populations.

It integrates theory, clinical practice, and community outreach to help students understand mental health promotion, mental illness prevention, and therapeutic interventions.

Through clinical postings in psychiatric hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and community mental health programs, students gain hands-on experience in managing psychiatric emergencies, counselling, and rehabilitation — emphasizing empathy, respect, and ethical practice.
